Materials: Worksheet, markers/crayons/colored pencils
- Have your child write or trace their name on the top of the page
- Read your child the directions or, if possible, have them read the directions aloud
- Identify each shape listed in the key
- Read through each color word in the key, using the initial letter and sound to determine which color it is
- Have your child begin by matching the shape in the key to the shape spider on the page
- Once the shape is identified, determine which color it is supposed to be colored in by referring to the key
- Color the spider the appropriate color with a marker, crayon or colored pencil
- Repeat for each shape spider until the worksheet is complete
