Mother’s Day MOM Painting

Materials: canvas or paper, washable paints, painters tape or paper with tape, something to wash paint off with (wet paper towel, baby wipes, wet washcloth, etc.)

*I recommend having your child in only their diaper, wearing a smock or in clothes you don’t mind getting paint on*

  • On the canvas or paper, use painters tape to spell MOM. If you don’t have painters tape, cut out MOM in paper and tape it down on the canvas or paper, making sure they are flat and well secured
  • Drip a few drops of paint on the canvas or paper
  • Let your child use their hands and/or feet to spread the paint, making sure the perimeter of the letters are fully covered in paint *A great sensory experience!
  • Once the painting is complete, clean the paint off of your child
  • Remove the painters tape or paper letters and tape (if you are painting on paper be VERY careful pulling off the tape so the paper does not tear)

  • Allow the canvas or paper to dry
  • Enjoy!
