Footprint Flower

Materials: canvas or paper (the thicker the better), washable paints (green for the stem and whichever petal color you choose), paint brush, paint roller (optional), paint dish, something to wash paint off with (wet paper towel, baby wipes, wet washcloth, etc.)

*I recommend having your child sit, either on the ground or in a highchair, Bumbo, jumper, etc., so the paint only gets on their foot and the project*

  • Using a paint brush or paint roller, paint the bottom of your child’s foot the petal color you choose
  • Press their foot against the canvas or paper, making sure the entire foot and toes have been pressed down to transfer the paint
  • Clean the paint off of your child
  • Repeat with the opposite foot, making sure the big toes and heels are touching on the canvas or paper
  • Use a paint brush to add the green stem and leaf to the flower
  • Allow the canvas or paper to dry
  • Enjoy!
