A fun fine motor activity that rewards little ones with a snack!
Materials: Cheerios (or a similar size/shape snack with a hole in the center), uncooked spaghetti, large/sturdy snack (whole strawberry, cheese cube, piece of pineapple, etc.)
- Gather your materials
- Break the uncooked spaghetti in half
- Place the spaghetti pieces into the larger snacks, sticking straight up
- Slide the Cheerios onto the spaghetti pieces until they reach the top
- Place the activity in front of your child
- Model how to take one Cheerio off of the spaghetti at a time
- Let your child experiment with removing the Cheerios *They can also put them back on themselves if they are able to
- Repeat until all of the Cheerios have been removed or add more Cheerios as needed
- Enjoy!
