Create a rainbow as you use repetition for writing practice!
Materials: paper, pencil/pen/yellow crayon or marker (choose one), 3-5 crayons or markers
- Determine what your child is going to practice writing (suggestions below)
- On a piece of paper write (adult or child) what is being practiced in pencil, pen or a yellow crayon or marker
- Have your child identify each letter or number, along with the letter sounds
- For numbers, have your child show the amount (10 or less) on their fingers
- Have your child identify each color crayon or marker
- Write (child) each letter or number one at a time while naming what is being written
- Once the entire word or number is written, repeat with a new color
- Repeat steps 6-7 until all of the colors are used
- Enjoy!
5 year olds:
-Write their first and last name
-Write upper and/or lowercase letters
-Form numbers
-Write sight words
-Write spelling words
