Materials: canvas or paper (the thicker the better), washable paints (whichever colors you like), paper, writing utensil, scissors, tape, something to wash paint off with (wet paper towel, baby wipes, wet washcloth, etc.)
*I recommend having your child in only their diaper, wearing a smock or in clothes you don’t mind getting paint on*
- Draw a heart/s on a piece of paper (remember whatever is covered by the heart/s will be white once the project is finished)
- Cut out the heart/s
- Tape the hearts on your canvas or paper wherever you would like, making sure they are flat and well secured
- Drip a few drops of paint on the canvas or paper
- Let your child use their hands and/or feet to spread the paint, making sure the perimeter of the heart/s is fully covered in paint *A great sensory experience!
- Once the painting is complete, clean the paint off of your child
- Remove the paper hearts
- Allow the canvas or paper to dry
- Enjoy!
